初めてのイースターエッグハントをやってみた！

On April 8th, we had our first ever Easter egg hunt event at the Awa Kainan Cultural Center!
4月8日に、阿波海南文化村で初めてのイースターエッグハントを開催したよ！
Easter egg hunts are popular in countries like America where Easter is celebrated, so we decided to have one here in Kaiyo for the pre-schoolers and elementary school kids, but with a twist on it!
イースターエッグハントは、イースターを祝うアメリカなどの国で人気があるので、海陽町でも未就学児と小学生を対象にイベントをやってみたよ！
For the egg hunt, kids were given a cup marked with an alphabet letter. The eggs were also marked with an alphabet letter and then hidden, and so the kids had to find an egg marked with a letter matching their cup.
エッグハントでは、アルファベットが書かれていた卵がたくさん隠されているんだ。子どもたちにアルファベットが書かれたカップが渡され、持っているカップと同じアルファベットが書かれた卵を探し出すゲームだよ。
We had egg hunts running in two areas, outdoors in the grassy area and in the Iki-iki lounge. Eggs marked with only uppercase letters were hidden among the many props in the grassy area, and the kids enjoyed egg hunting with their parents.
エッグハントは、文化村の芝生広場といきいき館の2つの場所で行ったよ。芝生広場では、事前に用意したたくさんの遊び道具やものの中に大文字アルファベットが書かれた卵だけが隠されていて、子どもたちには親子でエッグハントを楽しんでもらったよ！
For the indoor egg hunt, kids had to find eggs marked with lower case letters in addition to upper case letters, among the furniture and many rooms in the Iki-Iki lounge.
いきいき館でのエッグハントでは、大文字に加えて小文字のアルファベットが書かれた２種類の卵を、いきいき館内の様々な場所や設置してあるものの中から探し出してもらったよ！
After finding the egg, the kids exchanged them for a prize egg filled with treats and many of them even came back for multiple rounds!
子どもたちは見つけた卵をお菓子が入った賞品の卵と交換して、何度も足を運んでくれる子もいっぱいいたよ！
We had many kids come to the event, and they had fun hunting for eggs! Let’s do it again next year!
