International Exchange at the Iki-iki Salon |
Hello there, Tony here.
Among the many school and student-focused projects run by the Global team, we also collaborate with the social welfare department on a project for the elderly.
In this project, we take part in different “Iki-Iki” salons held in different community centers around town to give a “mini-tour” of America and Australia and introduce a couple of places that are meaningful to us.
If attendees have left/lived outside of Kaiyo before, we usually discuss what places have they come to appreciate more after getting some distance from Kaiyo. We also ask about what spots in Kaiyo they would introduce to foreigners, and about the history of those places, particularly if they have changed over time.
Based on what we've heard so far, the Kaifu River and Todoroki Falls are the most popular spots the townspeople would want to introduce! What place in Kaiyo would you show someone visiting, if you had the chance?
We have enjoyed our many interesting conversations with our audiences across town and look forward to being able to share more about America and Australia with everyone!
