子どもたちとKaiyo BCCの楽しいビーチコーミングイベント！
6月25日に、初のコラボイベントを開催したよ！Kaiyo BCCがビーチコーミングイベントを行っていることは知っている人もいると思うので、今回のイベントではKaiyo BCCと一緒に、海陽町の子どもたちと一緒に大砂海水浴場でビーチコーミングをしてみた！
On June 25th, we held our first collaboration event with Kaiyo BCC! Some of you may know Kaiyo BCC for their beach cleaning and combing events, so we teamed up with them to hold an event for the kids of Kaiyo!
イベントの前半では、子どもたちはビーチで貝殻やビーチグラスを探したよ。ほかにも、ビーチを楽しみながらクラゲやカニの爪など、たくさんの面白いものも見つけたよ！その後にビーチを掃除するのを手伝ってもらったけど、意外と空き缶は少なかったので、子どもたちは空き缶を見つけるたびに大喜びしていたよ！
For first half of the event, the kids combed the beach for things like shells and beach glass. They also found many other interesting things too, like jellyfish and crab claws while enjoying the beach! The kids then helped clean the beach, using the provided tongs to pick up waste, like bottles and plastic that were littered on the beach. There was a surprisingly little number of empty cans lying around, so the kids were very excited every time they found one.

イベントの後半は、ビーチ近くのキャンプ場に移動したよ。ここで子どもたちは小物入れに使えるガラス瓶をデコレーションしたよ。
In the second half of the event, we moved to a campground nearby the beach. Here the kids decorated empty glass jars with the things they collected from the beach.
まず、子どもたちは紙粘土を瓶に巻いて、物をくっつけるベースを作った。そしてボンドを使って、拾ったビーチグラスや貝殻を粘土にくっつけていったよ。
The kids first wrapped paper clay around the jar to create a base for things to stick onto. Glue was then used to stick beach glass and shells to the clay.
みんなそれぞれ独自のデザインを考えて、瓶のデコレーションを楽しんだよ！
The kids had fun decorating their jars as they came up with unique designs of their own!
飾り付けが終わってからみんなでおいしいアイスクリームのデザートを食べて、最後に集合写真を撮ったよ！
After finishing their jars, everyone had some delicious ice cream desserts and we all came together for a group photo to wrap up the event!
